Job description:
We are OUR ACADEMY, a workshop, mentorship, and resource group of individuals and companies in the cannabis industry that are open to knowledge sharing and supporting social equity qualified applicants, partners, and other disproportionately impacted and targeted communities of the war on drugs (i.e. refugees, immigrants, and the LGBTQ+ community).
We are looking for an organized, value-aligned, tech-savvy, detail-oriented assistant with a sunny disposition and a lot of patience. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the OUR DREAM / OUR ACADEMY executive team with daily operations and special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, managing emails, and organizing documents, as needed by the executive team.
- Attend meetings and take notes as required, providing support to the executive team in preparation for presentations, meetings, and other events.
- Handle general inquiries and communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for the executive team as required.
- Participate in occasional team meetings and trainings.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to proofread and edit content for clarity, grammar, and spelling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and customers.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace conducive to online meetings.
Bonus:
- Experience with Google suite of tools (e.g. Drive, Docs, etc.), ActiveCampaign, Monday, Slack, Asana, Zoom, LMS platforms
This is a contract position with flexible hours. The workload may vary depending on the needs of our program. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
